SCHOLARSHIP DATABASE
A scholarship is free money (a grant or payment) made to support a student's education, awarded on the basis of academic or other achievement.  A bursary is free money to students with demonstrated financial needs.  Awards are scholarships or bursaries to acknowledge outstanding achievement or contributions to the community.

This list will be updated as 2020-2021 information comes into the Counselling Office.  Students and parents are encouraged to do their own research, as there are a multitude of scholarships out there. 


Aboriginal Ancestry Scholarships

  • INDSPIRE - Indigenous Educational, Canada's Future ​
  • Indigenous Student Bursary - The purpose of this bursary is to assist Indigenous students in the Langley School District (SD 35) to continue their education. Two bursaries will be offered at the end of each school year, to be disbursed to two students by the Langley School District Foundation upon confirmation of the bursary recipients by the donor. The bursary is open to Indigenous students in Grades 10, 11 and 12 within the Langley School District. For Application and Information visit Indigenous Student Bursary. All applications must be received by Friday, April 24, 2020.

Pathway to Teacher Education 
The Pathway to Teacher Education Scholarship (PTES) is awarded to 20 outstanding high school graduates who have demonstrated a commitment and aptitude for a career path in K-12 teaching. Each recipient will receive a $5000 scholarship voucher to use towards tuition in their teaching program at a designated BC post-secondary institution.

To apply, please complete the application form and submit it along with all required documents by

Langley Rotary "SASSY" Award:
Langley SASSY incorporates Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self”, and adds on “Student Youth”.  The program recognizes, acknowledges and celebrates the achievements of youth who exemplify the ideals of Rotary, and are role models for other Youth to say, “I can do that too!”
 
Applications will be accepted in seven categories, with one winner in each category.  The winner will receive a $1000.00 award, as well as $500.00 to donate to the registered charity of their choice. Please see Mrs. Ough or Mrs. C for more details about being nominated.
